Federal Donuts is making sufganiyot for Chanukah

The traditional treat for the Jewish holiday Chanukah is “sufganiyot,” jelly-filled donuts fried in oil and dusted in sugar.

Philly’s donut innovator Federal Donuts is putting its own spin on the Israeli favorite, selling 20 honey-dipped mini donuts with raspberry jam for $15, available by pre-order only (orders@federaldonuts.com). Pick up is at the 1632 Sansom St. or 701 N. Seventh St. locations.

They’re only being made during the holiday, known as the Festival of Lights, Dec. 16 to 24.
