Fete Noel opens in Chestnut Hill

Leslie Newbold and Julie Walrond have banded together with other local retailers to create Fete Noel, a fun pop-up shop with a festive atmosphere that will be open from November 10th to 15th. The Germantown Avenue space is located at the old Magarity car dealership and is filled to the brim with a variety of goodies including vintage furniture and accessories, toys, clothing and home décor.

The organizers are also using the shop as an opportunity to spread awareness about the Laurel House, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence. The group provides a safe haven for abused women and their children in Montgomery County. Its mission is to raise public awareness about domestic violence and advocate for social change. Shoppers who visit the shop can make a donation of items like gift cards, pajamas, laundry detergent, paper goods and cleaning supplies among others.

Leslie and Julie also hope to make a monetary donation to the Laurel House after the shop’s proceeds are tallied. Some of the vendors of the shop include:
