The first annual Visit Philadelphia Holiday Parade was a huge success Saturday night. The event was the city’s first parade celebrating all of winter’s holidays, including Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and the Chinese New Year. The streets were lined with smiling faces; and kids giggled with delight when they spotted Rudolph, and waved frantically at Santa (Charlie Manuel) who eagerly waved back to them. The 90-minute parade started at 2nd and Market and wound its way to City Hall where the Christmas Tree was shining bright after being lit in a ceremony on Thursday.
