Philly is tapping into summer with the debut of the 1st Annual Fishtown Beer Festival this weekend, where local beer lovers will sip and sample the region’s top breweries — all while celebrating the area’s deep connection to beer culture.

For the inaugural festival, 15 breweries will convene on the 1700 block of Front Street, offering a variety of beer styles, including signature favorites, limited edition rareties, hidden gems, and everything in between.

Taking place on Saturday, June 21, from noon to 4 p.m., the festival will also feature an afternoon block party with music, lawn games, outdoor street food and more.

“Fishtown has always been home to creatives, makers, and beer lovers — so this festival feels like a natural next step,” said Evil Genius Beer Company co-founder Trevor Hayward.  “We’re thrilled to bring the city’s best breweries together on our block and celebrate the community that’s supported us from the very start. We have been wanting to do an event like this for several years and it seemed like the perfect time to move forward.”

“This isn’t just a beer fest — it’s our love letter to Philly’s brewing scene and to the neighborhood that helped make craft beer in this city what it is today,” said Evil Genius co-founder Luke Bowen. “Fishtown has become one of the top beer destinations in the country. We’re proud to showcase local breweries while welcoming visitors to our neighborhood for a one-of-a-kind celebration.”
