The Philadelphia Flower Show is right around the corner, with the theme of “United by Flowers.” But ahead of its opening this weekend, spots around the city will be blooming up with their own specials and activations celebrating the floral event.
The swanky and city-view-clad hotspot in The Logan Hotel is offering a special cocktail in celebration of the event. From March 2 to 10, Philadelphians can sip on “The Lavender Love” ($17), composed of butterfly-pea tea infused Stateside Vodka, St. Germain and lime. Pair it with a small plate from the venue’s kitchen and sit fireside or overlooking one of the most scenic areas of Philly to make your experience complete.

This downtown venue is pulling out all the stops for the 2024 Philadelphia Flower Show. Firstly, the hotel’s Flower Show Package includes two tickets to the “United by Flowers” Show, and on-property amenities (think two cocktails to enjoy at Bank & Bourbon Lounge and a complimentary room upgrade.) Rates start at $279 a night.
And speaking of Bank & Bourbon, the restaurant will have new floral themed cocktails for everyone to try plus a “bountiful lunch” option. The special two-course lunch will run for $25 per person and features dishes like a True North salmon salad, steak frites, or a crispy chicken sandwich paired with a dessert offering of triple layer chocolate cake, pineapple upside-down cheesecake and seasonal sorbet. Floral wines will also be available to pair with the dishes.
Philadelphians can even head to the hotel’s spa, Joseph Anthony, to indulge in specials. As a release notes, guests can stay on theme and book a Lavender Detox Float or Lemongrass Eucalyptus Scrub. Locals can head to Dock Street’s Fishtown location to try out their new floral-themed menu. Options include the “You Grow Girl” ($15) made with earl gray vodka, lavender, peppercorn simple and lemon, the “Don’t Stop Be-Leafing” ($15) with strawberry gin, lime juice, white rose simple and ginger beer, and the “We Were All Rooting For You!!” ($15) boasting bourbon, blood orange liquor, chamomile honey and lemon.
Non-alcoholic picks span the “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” ($8) with lavender peppercorn simple, lemon and sparkling water, and the “Everyone Down! It’s a Strobbery” ($8) boasting strawberry, lime juice, white rose simple and ginger beer.

El Merkury is offering up something sweet for the Philadelphia Flower Show this year. Their Hibiscus Flower Churro Sundae ($7), is a floral-inspired churro set atop a swirl of vanilla soft serve, drizzled with housemade hibiscus-orange syrup, and topped with caramelized hibiscus flowers. Patrons of the Show can walk just steps away to Reading Terminal Market to grab this treat, but this limited-edition special is available at both locations (Reading Terminal Market and Chestnut Street) for the duration of the annual horticultural event.

The Library Bar in The Rittenhouse Hotel is celebrating the launch of this year’s Show with a floral installation in partnership with Starr Osborne and Flowers by Yukie from March 2 to 16. The new work of art will celebrate the theme, “United by Flowers”, and guests can enjoy a specialty floral-themed cocktail by the fire to soak it all in.

As a release notes, from ceiling-hung floral installations to hand-crafted metal flower wall installments, to its custom bar chandelier adorned with 140 glass flowers, the Mediterranean-inspired interior transports guests to an island-like ambiance. And there’s also cocktails to really soak in the floral ambiance here: The Petalouda ($15) is made with vodka, masitha, elderflower and butterfly pea tea, then topped with an edible flower. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made on Almyra’s website.
