Flyers 2024 NHL Entry Level Mock Draft 1.0

The NHL Entry-Level Draft is just around the corner, scheduled from June 28th to June 29th in Las Vegas. The Philadelphia Flyers have a whopping ten picks in this year’s draft. To keep you on the edge of your seat, I’ll be rolling out a series of mock drafts, delving into who could be the perfect fit for the Flyers.

The only draft pick that needs to be solidified is the Panthers’ first-round pick that the Flyers got in the Claude Giroux trade. Due to the Panthers being in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Flyers would have the 31st or 32nd overall, depending on how they conclude the season.

31st OR 32nd overall: Will Skahan, D, Boston College 

36th overall: Ryder Ritchie, F, Prince Albert Raiders

51st overall: Tomas Galvas, LHD, Bílí Tygři Liberec

77th overall: Tarin Smith, LHD,  Everett Silvertips

148th overall: Parker Von Richter, RHD, Mississauga

150th overall: Ethan Procyszyn, RW, North Bay Battalion 

173rd overall: Gabe Smith, C, Moncton Wildcats 

177th overall: Mason Zebeski, LW, Mississauga 

205th overall: Juho Keinänen, RW, Jokerit 

How This Draft Class Compares To Last Years

The Philadelphia Flyers need solid defensive prospects. Luckily, this year’s draft has a good selection of defensive prospects, unlike last year. Luckily, in the later rounds of this year’s drafts, some promising centers and wingers could make a difference to the organization.

One position not selected in this mock draft 1.0 was a goalie. Even though there are some promising goalies in this draft, trading for a goalie might be a better option for the Flyers. 

With the draft approaching quickly, followed by a highly talented free agency, this will be a pivotal time for the Flyers’ new leadership to show how they will better the team over this off-season.
