Flyers finish road trip at ‘Shark Tank’

Claude Giroux is red hot and the Flyers are looking like themselves once again. That’s good news as they head into the finale to a short road trip in California, playing San Jose on Monday.

Giroux has compiled four goals and four assists in the last six contests for the Flyers, and goaltender Steve Mason posted his second shutout in three games in a 2-0 win over the Kings on Saturday.

The Flyers have also scored a power-play goal in six consecutive games and look to be heading toward the Olympic break — which starts Saturday after the Flyers play the Flames — on a very positive note.

“I like the battle,” Flyers head coach Craig Berube said on the team’s official website. “I like the competitiveness of the team right now.”
