Flyers forward Bobby Brink undergoes surgery, expected to miss five months

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that forward Bobby Brink underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip. Brink is expected to miss five months, which means he will not be ready for the start of the regular season in October.

Brink made his Flyers debut in 2021-2022 and played in ten games. During those ten games, he registered four assists. Brink was expected to be a contender for a roster spot on the Flyers for the 2022-2023 season.

Before joining the Flyers, Brink won the NCAA National Championship with the University of Denver, and he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. Brink scored 57 points in 41 games with Denver last season. He led the NCAA in scoring.

Brink did not participate in development camp due to his injury.
