A priceless piece of art is in the discount bin.
The three-story, West Philly rowhome draped in a Steve Powers “Love Letters” mural is up for sale. Asking price: $110,000.
Powers used the home, at the corner at 50th and Market streets, as a canvas for one of 33 artworks that strung together form a love story.
The complete saga is unveiled as the other artworks, splashed on homes stretching from 45th to 63rd street along the El route, are revealed one by one. It was completed on Valentine’s Day 2010.
The building, which features a gutted ground-level retail space and three apartment units, encompasses 1,348 sq. ft.
Real estate agent Faith Boose said there are no guidelines for an owner to maintain or even keep the artwork. And she said that to this point, the art hasn’t been the main feature.
“The price is the major selling point at this time,” Boose said.
