FreedomFest Fireworks Festival

Every Fourth of July, this spirited occasion takes place at Pleasant Hill Park (located at the intersection of the Delaware River and Linden Avenue), with family fun beginning at 5 p.m., including a musical set performed by Philly Heart & Soul. The Beer Garden is also back this year with sips from Philadelphia’s own Attic Brewing Co., Briganti Wines, City Distilling, and Crooked Eye Brewery.
The beer garden will also be the spot to catch additional performances throughout the event, with Ryan Biedermann, Ray Palmer, The Kramer Brothers, and David Maida scheduled to perform. Those with an appetite can also find fare from an array of food trucks, including Philly Pretzel Factory, Los Gallos Mexican Restaurant, Champion Lowriders, Footies Catfish Cafe, Mama Smoothies, Let’z Eat and more.
Festival-goers will also have access to the 40-foot Ferris wheel, which offers prime views of the Delaware River Waterfront and the fireworks show (which will cap off the evening at 9:30 p.m.)

Sunset Social
With a prime view of the big show on the 4th, the fireworks on Independence Day will kick off a series of summer events for this sky-high locale. On Friday, July 4, the fun starts at noon with activities spanning face painting, a caricature artist, live music and more. The fireworks planned for The Philadelphia Museum of Art are scheduled to begin at 9:35 p.m.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge
Those looking to watch Fourth of July fireworks in Philadelphia in style can book spots at Assembly’s Red, White & Views: Firework Viewing Party. The celebration will feature a four-hour open bar with signature cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, multiple chef-curated food stations, a dessert spread, live music, and views of the show at 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the party will run from 7 to 11 p.m. ($266+) on July 4.

Harrah’s is celebrating the occasion on July 5, with the Philly Foodie & Fireworks Festival. The occasion will feature over 25 food trucks, a maker’s market, pop-up beer garden, a Family Fun Zone with carnival games and a money machine with real prizes. Live entertainment will also be on-site throughout the day, and the event will cap off with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m.

City Cruises
A prime view directly from the water for Fourth of July fireworks in Philadelphia? That’s exactly what City Cruises is offering, with their Fourth of July Signature Dinner Cruise. The cruise will feature a chef-prepared buffet, a fully-stocked bar, and a live DJ. Tickets ($160+) are available online, boarding begins at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 to 10 p.m. ride.

WAWA Welcome America Concert
The Fourth of July celebrations in Philadelphia will conclude on the evening of July 4 with the Wawa Welcome America Concert and Fireworks. Performers include LL COOL J, Jazmine Sullivan, JoJo and more.
The concert will be performed at 7 p.m. in front of a live audience on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and broadcast on NBC10 for viewers at homes. The concert will be followed by Philadelphia’s largest annual fireworks display over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway beginning at 9:30 p.m.

New Hope
New Hope’s showcase is perfect for anyone missing the excitement on the Fourth of July. On July 11, Philadelphians can head to this charming town for their Summer Fireworks Series, with Stella of New Hope offering prime seating for the event on their outdoor patio. The show kicks off at 9 p.m.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort
Those who can’t make it out on July 4 to catch some fireworks can do so a bit early with Bear Creek Mountain Resort. On Thursday, July 3, their Independence holiday event will kick off at 5 p.m. with live music, plenty of dining options and family-friendly activities. The evening will also bring back the Resort’s popular Dadapalooza event from Father’s Day with a car show on-site throughout the evening.
Car owners who want to display their vehicles are encouraged to register online in advance for $15 or onsite, or the day of the event for $25. The first 50 car registrants receive a complimentary third-annual Dadapalooza T-Shirt.
As a release notes, Bear Creek Mountain Resort is also offering an overnight special with a late checkout on Friday, July 4 ($109). The package includes a private firework viewing area, a 20-percent discount on dinner at Trail’s End Café or The Grille; and 20-percent off the Mountain Activity Center.
