Franky Bradley’s latest burlesque show is a tribute to the 80s

Sometimes we all just need a heroand for that, Franky Bradley’s is at your service. The eclectic Gayborhood staple in Philadelphia hosts a monthly burlesque show series, La Maison Rose, and for the 2020 series, Frankie Bradleys will be kicking off with “We Need a Hero! A Burlesque Tribute to the ’80s” this Thursday, January 16. The 80s clad extravaganza will feature a line-up of some of Philly’s best and most energetic burlesque performers.

La Maison Rose at FB typically happens every third Thursday of the month, with the fabulous experience’s showtimes kicking off at 10 pm (doors open at 9:30 pm).

According to the release, La Maison Rose honors the strongest and sexiest elements of burlesque’s past, while adding to its continued future by drawing on a host of both veteran and up-and-coming performers who push the boundaries and definitions of the form itself, and for this Thursday’s show, things are really going to be a blast from the past.

“We Need a Hero! A Burlesque Tribute to the ’80s” and La Maison Rose is headlined by the University of the Arts graduate and West Philly’s own Lelu Lenore. Lenore, the “Burlesque Ballerina of Philadelphia” has won international awards for her art, including “First Runner Up” in this year’s PA Burlesque Festival for the Crystal Corset Award, and First Runner Up in the “Lake Como Queen of the Lake” Festival in Italy, according to her official website. In each performance, Lenore is also joined by Artist-in-Residence and Philly local Renée Rebelle, veteran kitten Veronica Vicious and chanteuse hostess Alyson Rodriguez Orenstein.

For those who love the 80s, Thursday night’s performance will be a colorful ode to the neon-clad, crimped-haired decade, and an explosively fun good time.

According to the release, the kick-off performance “We Need a Hero!” will star an impressive lineup of burlesque performers including Renée Rebelle, Goldi Fox, Fagl Roq, Ginger Leigh, Teddy Fatscher, Lola Von Rox, and Krix Roxto name just a few.

Tickets cost $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP and can be purchased online on Eventbrite or at the door. For more information visit frankybradleys.com
