Remote Area Medical (RAM) – a nonprofit of pop-up clinics delivering free dental, vision, and medical care to those in need – will join the Philadelphia’s Sheriff’s Office in hosting a free, two-day clinic in Philadelphia next month.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 16-17, at 6 a.m., at the School of the Future, 4021 Parkside Ave., in West Philly, the clinics will offer free dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, glaucoma testing, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women’s health exams, and general medical exams.

Services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no ID or insurance required.

“We look forward to hosting this impactful event once again,” said Sheriff Rochelle Bilal in a statement. “These organizations have been instrumental in helping us provide critical medical, vision and dental services to residents who need it most. Together, we are not only transforming lives—we are reinforcing our shared commitment to equity, access, and community wellness.”

Free dental, vision, and medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Clinic doors open at 6 a.m., and the clinic will run until capacity is reached. Sunday’s clinic will be an abbreviated day; patients are advised to arrive early.

RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible. Organizers note that clinic closing time may vary based on each service area’s daily capacity.

Patients should be prepared to choose either dental or vision services, as time and capacity may limit access to both. Medical services are available in addition to either option.

“Millions of people lack access to the healthcare they need,” said Sandra Hall, a Clinic Coordinator at RAM, “and our goal is to bridge that gap by providing free dental, vision, and medical care to anyone in need.”
