A peek on set of ‘The FRIENDS Experience: The One Near Philadelphia’

‘Friends’ fans and fanatics, there’s an easy way to enter the world of the classic sitcom and beyond with the latest showcase to stop at the King of Prussia Mall.

The FRIENDS Experience: The One Near Philadelphia opened in the area earlier this month after having successful runs throughout different cities in the US and Canada. The activation was first conceived as a 25-year celebration of the highly-popular series, which first premiered in 1994. Since then, its expanded to a traveling pop culture showcase.

On display until May 29 at the KOP Mall, this interactive and immersive pop-up delves fans into the world of Ross, Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey with set recreations and different scenes from the show having the spotlight put back on them.

The nostalgia-packed activation features Monica and Rachel’s kitchen, Central Perk, the opening fountain credit shots from the show, and much more. Additionally, fans can fully step into famous situations from the series whether it be helping Ross pivot his sofa up the stairs, or sitting in Joey and Chandler’s favorite recliner.

Along the way, staff are on site to snap some photos of you and your group on your phone, and they’ve been trained where to stand to get the picture perfect angle.

“The FRIENDS Experience invites fans to step inside the world of the iconic series, relive their favorite moments and celebrate the show unlike ever before,” said Stacy Moscatelli, Co-President and Chief Strategy Officer of OGX in a statement. “We are looking forward to bringing this one-of-a- kind experience to the City of Brotherly Love.”

The attraction was recently voted as one of USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Best New Attractions and included in CNN’s 12 Best Immersive Experiences around the world. Previous stops included New York City (and it now has a permanent home in the Big Apple), Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Washington D.C., Denver, Toronto and San Francisco.

However, there are some exclusive location aspects at the KOP venue, including a jukebox in Phoebe’s section with a variety of dialogue clips for you to select when you head to the pop-up’s Central Perk section at the end.

The FRIENDS Experience: The One Near Philadelphia will remain open now through May 29, 2023. A full schedule of operating hours can be found at FriendsTheExperience.com/Philadelphia. Timed entry tickets are available starting at $32 plus taxes and fees.
