Birthdays and brunch — two of life’s greatest celebrations — come together this weekend as the Front Street Cafe celebrates a decade of success on National Brunch Day.

Since they opened, the Front Street Cafe has been serving the people of Fishtown and other Philadelphia neighborhoods while maintaining their commitment to fresh, farm-to-table ingredients. This Sunday, Sept. 21, Front Street Cafe celebrates its 10-year anniversary, which just so happens to take place on National Brunch Day.

The one-day-only celebration will feature big-time brunch favorites, classic cocktails, and a mid-afternoon soirée in the garden patio. It all kicks off on Sunday morning, with brunch from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each guest will receive a complimentary beverage with their meal, such as a mimosa, kombucha, or sparkling juice.

On the food front, brunch-goers can enjoy fan-favorite dishes from Front Street Cafe’s early years, including veggie hash, a blend of butternut squash, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, peppers, with the choice of poached eggs or tofu scramble; green hotcakes, spinach batter, plant-based milk, vanilla cream, granola, berries, and maple syrup; and biscuits and gravy, featuring mushroom gravy, country biscuits, and choice of poached eggs or tofu scramble.

Brunch may only last until 4 p.m., but the party goes on as the Front Street Cafe welcomes guests to the sprawling garden patio. The garden will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. and feature complimentary light bites and a welcome cocktail for all who register either in advance or day-of at the venue.

Guests will enjoy a vintage Front Street Cafe experience, featuring the location’s own spirited “throwback cocktails,” beloved by imbibers in the late 2010s. All drinks will be available for purchase, pay-as-you-go, and priced at the original cost from 10 years prior.

Walk-ins are welcome to this brunch blast from the past, but reservations are highly encouraged as the event is first-come, first-served.
