Saturday Night Jazz at the Woodmere Art Museum

Saturday nights throughout the summer season mark a special occasion at the Woodmere Art Museum. Philadelphians can head out to the venue, bring blankets, chairs, a bottle of wine to enjoy and more while listening to the sounds of the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble. Every week, there will be two performances (at 5 and 7 p.m.), and both will be held outdoors, weather permitting. This Saturday, June 25, the Ensemble will pay tribute to the “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin, by playing a collection of her greatest hits including ‘Respect’, ‘Natural Woman’, ‘Chain of Fools’, ‘Rock Steady’, and others.

Summer Shell-A-Bration at the Camden Adventure Aquarium

This is the last weekend to head to the Camden Adventure Aquarium and indulge in their ‘Shell-A-Bration’ as part of their 30th birthday party. While there, visitors can become a Turtle Scout (aka a fun way to get kids excited about ocean conservation and protecting our planet’s turtles), check out Sea Turtle Snacktime through live feeds from the Ocean Realm Panoramic Window, interact with tortoises and terrapins in up-close encounters (or opt for a full encounter through a paid experience), take a Top of the Ocean Realm Tour, participate in turtle trivia and more. The activities will be happening at the Aquarium until June 26, and more information about reservations can be found online.

Circus Vazquez

Looking for fun things to do in Philly this weekend? From this Friday, June 24 through July 10, Philadelphians can head to King of Prussia Mall to check out everything Circus Vazquez has to offer. Featuring all humans and no animals, this production showcases a slew of talented performers. The slate of talent includes the Bingo Troupe from Ukraine (who had to escape the war to get to the U.S. to perform in the show), the “Clown of Clowns” aka David Larible, and Jan and Carolina Vazquez— part of the latest generation of the Vazquez family, who have been presenting their circus for over 50 years.
