Looking for some fun, unique and safe ways to spend your weekend? In the age of social distancing, Metro has you covered. A few Philly establishments have come up with inventive ways to still have fun this weekend while staying healthy.

Philly Music Fest

In-person concerts may not be on the table at this time, but that doesn’t mean that Philadelphians can’t enjoy the Philly Music Fest during a pandemic. This weekend, everyone will be able to tune in to a series of live performances on September 24th and 25th from Ardmore Music Hall. As much as this event is fun, it’s meaningful as well—the festival only showcases bands from Philadelphia at independent venues and donates all proceeds to local organizations. This year’s lineup includes Japanese Breakfast, The Districts, Mt. Joy, Arnetta Johnson, Langhorne Slim, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Arthur Thomas and the Funkitorium and Zeek Burse. According to the release, Philly Music Fest’s livestream will be broadcasted live on WXPN, and the video of the performances will be available at NPR Music Live Sessions. The livestream can also be accessed through the Philly Music Fest website and Ardmore Music Hall’s website.
