Feminist Flea Market & Craft Fair
If you weren’t able to check out the first Feminist Flea Market & Craft Fair in November, you now have a second chance to shop and peruse through products from over 60 vendors. Philadelphians will even get the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind items, as many of the vendors there are debuting limited edition items just for Feminist Flea shoppers. To shop, there’s a $3+ suggested “entry fee,” with 100% of proceeds going to Philadelphia Red Umbrella Alliance (Philly RUA) and Project SAFE’s Philadelphia Sex Worker Relief Fund. For every $3 you give, you can also enter into a raffle bundle of your choosing. According to a release, raffle items have been donated by many of the Feminist Flea vendors and 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Philadelphia Sex Worker Relief Fund. There are unlimited entries, so increase your odds by entering to win many times in support of community-led mutual aid. The market is taking place now through Feb. 7, and as a special bonus, all orders for the duration of the market will also come with free shipping.

Shawnee Mountain’s annual “Paint the Mountain Pink” Cancer Awareness Weekend
Shawnee Mountain’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness event is kicking off this weekend and will be full of events for skiers to participate in. The mountain is less than a two-hour drive from the city, and as a special incentive, the first 100 lift ticket purchasers will receive a free pink face mask. Visitors can also stop in the Hope Lodge for a raffle whose proceeds also benefit the American Cancer Society.

The Dutch
Philadelphians can head to South Philly to get a taste of one Pennsport hotspot. The Dutch has partnered up with the popular East Passyunk French eatery, Fond, to debut a weekly street-side pop up consisting of brunch bites, cocktails, cheesesteaks, sausage sammies, plus a variety of libations. This particular pop-up will run Wednesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with The Dutch’s chef Kevin Watters manning the grill. Watters’ menu consists of chicken quesadillas with cheddar cheese, chicken, peppers, and onions; breakfast sandwiches with two eggs, meat, and cheese; reubens with corned beef, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, sauerkraut on marble rye and a side of potatoes.
A selection of beverages will be available to go as well including mimosas, Bloody Marys (virgin available), orange juice and coffee. Then, from 3 to 7 p.m., Fond’s chef Lee Styer will take over with a menu consisting of cheesesteaks, sausage sammies, Brie en Croûte, homemade soups, and much more. In addition, Cigar City Brewing beers, spiked mulled cider, hot cider, and cocktails to-go will be available for sipping alongside Fond’s fire pits. The Dutch will operate during the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for take away and outdoor dining (weather permitting). Fond will also continue their street-side pop up on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a rotating menu of eats and libations as well.

The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Lunar New Year Concert
According to a release, in celebration of Lunar New Year, The Philadelphia Orchestra will present a special concert on the Digital Stage at philorch.org, available for streaming this Thursday, Feb. 4, at 8 p.m. through Sunday, Feb. 14, at 11 p.m. The program, hosted by composer and conductor Tan Dun, will feature Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin in a never-before-seen recording of Tan Dun’s ‘Nu Shu: The Secret Songs of Women,’ Symphony for Microfilms, Harp, and Orchestra with Principal Harp Elizabeth Hainen as soloist. Conductor David Robertson will also lead a performance of Chen Gang’s and He Zhanhao’s Butterfly Lovers, concerto for violin and orchestra with soloist Gil Shaham. Tickets to the Lunar New Year Celebration Concert are $15 and are available online.
