Germantown man charged in August homicide

A 30-year-old Germantown man has been arrested and charged with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man around 10 p.m., Aug. 20, said Philadelphia police.

Police said Marcus Brooking, of the 5000 block of Tacoma Street, was charged with murdering Julius Black, of the 2100 block of Nedro Street. Black was shot multiple times on the 200 block of West Seymour Street.

Brooking had been in jail for a previous incident at the time of his arrest.
