An 8th grade girl will facecharges after allegedly stabbing another female classmate at Jay Cooke Elementary School in Logan Wednesday.
The student is being charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and other charges. Sheis not being publicly named because she is a minor, 6ABC reported.
The fight began in the third floor hallway of the school around 8:30 a.m., around the beginning of first period, school officials told reporters.

“Unfortunately, it ended up in one of the students’ grabbing a pair of scissors and stabbing the other,” School District spokesman Fernando Gallard told Philly.com.
Gallard told 6ABC that the students knew each other and had previous disputes.
It was unclear whether the weapon recovered after the attack — a pair of scissors — was school property or brought there from offcampus. The school was on lockdown for about 30 minutes after the fight.
The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where she was treated for what are reportedly non-life threatening injuries.
