Still looking to nab something for a loved one? Here are some ways to give the gift of a Philly experience to whoever is still on your list.
My Local Brew Works
For the beer enthusiast in your life, this local brewery is offering its popular Custom Craft Brewing Package, which gives an in-depth look into the craft brewing process from start to finish. Philadelphians will be able to get involved with everything, from choosing the grain to designing the label (participants can be as hands-on or off as desired).
Entry starts at $120 per person (price depends on certain factors), and the experience includes a tour of the vicinity, lunch, a parting gift and more over a 6-hour period (if you opt-in for the full experience). Those interested in learning more about the custom brewing process can reserve a brew day by emailing beer@mylocalbrewworks.com. More information can be found online.

Urban Farmer
Foodies will enjoy The Butcher’s Block experience from Urban Farmer, which offers a “hands-on culinary adventure.” As a release notes, guests will be seated just steps away from the kitchen, where Chef Sonny Ingui will personally guide them through a private tour of the kitchen and butcher shop. Along the way, chef will share insider knowledge on the restaurant’s house-grown mushroom program and offer an in-depth look at the meticulous dry aging process that enhances the flavors of Urban Farmer’s signature steaks.
All preparation and cooking for the dinner portion will then be done table-side, and each reservation is for a maximum of two couples (to keep it as immersive as possible). The experience is available every Thursday with two seatings at 5:30 and 8 p.m. and comes out to be around $350 per couple. Booking can be done online.
