Guillandeaux, Wallace get Big 5 honors

La Salle senior guard Ruben Guillandeaux was named Big 5 Men’s Player of the Week for scoring a career-high 29 points, including six 3-pointers, in the Explorers’ 82-71 win over Columbia on Friday.

La Salle trailed by 12 in the second half before rallying for the win. Guillandeaux scored 25 of his 29 points in the second half.

Temple senior guard Qwedia Wallace was named Big 5 Women’s Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 32 points in a season-opening loss to No.7-ranked Ohio State.

Wallace made 7-of-12 3-point attempts in the game. The Owls lost to the Buckeyes, 84-75.
