Philadelphia police are hunting for a robber who appreciates the finer things in life — a man who got a manicure before robbing the nail salon at gunpoint.
The incident happened at Rockland Nail on the 1300 block of Rockland Street in the city’s Logan section.
The suspect walked in at 5:50 p.m. Video surveillance footage shows him getting his nails done. When the nail tech told him how much the service cost, the suspect whipped out a gun — believed to be a sawed-off shotgun and demanded money.
A few of the salon’s workers can be seen ducking for cover at the sight of the gun—no injuries were reported and no shots were fired.
He cleaned out the cash drawers and fled on food.
He is described as a black man, 30 to 40, stocky, medium complexion. At the time he was wearing a gray hoodie and a dark baseball hat.
