Halladay, Phillies finally get good news on the health front

Watch out, the Phillies are getting healthy.

Step one: Roy Halladay is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday. Step two: If all goes well, he’ll be sent down to Florida for a rehab assignment. That means there is a chance the ace could return after the All-Star break.

“We’ll see how he feels Saturday and we’ll figure out where we go from there,” GM Ruben Amaro, Jr. said.

Other players receiving good news were Laynce Nix and Ryan Howard. Nix, out since May 10, could begin a rehab assignment next week. Amaro said it’s “possible” Howard could return to the Phils this weekend. He’s hitting .471 in six rehab games.
