Those looking to spend the spooky season by the beach are in luck — Harry’s Boo Bar has taken over the popular seaside locale for the holiday.
Harry’s Bar and Grille is popular in the summer, but its also aiming to be a destination in the chillier months as well. The themed pop-up is just one of many that premiere throughout the year.

“Following the runaway success of Harry’s Boo Bar in 2024, we are back with Cape May’s original Halloween themed bar,” says Madison Resorts Owner Dan Alicea.
“Each and every year, our hospitality team has so much fun creating this detailed and unique experiences for guests and visitors. They started planning this year’s Boo Bar and Jingle Bar (for the holidays) in January – and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests for spooky season,” Alicea added. “There’s nothing quite like Halloween and the holidays in Cape May with all the decorations, fall weather, leaves changing, community spirit, small-town feel and themed events.”
The Boo Bar has debuted with themed decorations (with a nautical twist), and the entire design and production was done with in-house talent, who also recently designed their sister property, Madison Resort Wildwood Crest.
Food and drink-wise, the Boo Bar has debuted some new themed additions: Drinks like the Davy Jones Juice (Absolute vodka, blue curaçao, pineapple and grenadine), Headless Horseman (Reposado tequila, pumpkin spice, simple syrup and apple cider), The Afterlife (Casamigos Blanco, melon liqueur, pineapple, fresh lemon juice and a black lava salt rim), and the Boo Bar Espresso Martini (Tito’s vodka, Kahlua, and pumpkin spice cold brew) will be served up throughout the month.
Visitors can additionally enjoy discounted treats during Happy Hour (3 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday) like $2 off all beer selections, $6 glasses of wine, $9 Cannonball Tots, $13 Mad Dog Nachos and more.

Locals can also head to the establishment for different stand alone events, like Harry’s Second Annual Cape May Stein Hoisting Competition (Oct. 17), Cape May Restaurant Week (Oct. 30 to Nov. 2), a Halloween Costume Contest (Oct. 31), a Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey Tasting Experience (Nov. 21), and more. There will also be rotating weekly entertainment schedules at the bar with performers like Jimmy Mannix, The Honey Hawks and DJ Jimmy Jam on the schedule.
“Over the last few years we’ve seen a pretty dramatic increase in visitor traffic between Labor Day and Memorial Day,” finishes Alicea. “Hotel rates are generally a little bit lower, there’s much less traffic and crowds and the weather has still been really good for a few months into the fall.
“It’s a great time of year to be at the shore and I think a lot of people are starting to realize that.”
