Head to the PSPCA to find a furry Valentine

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and you still have time to find a Valentine, even a furry one.

The Pennsylvania SPCA has just announced its OkCanine campaign where they will credit Philadelphians with $50 to help find their perfect canine match. The new promotion began earlier this week, on Feb. 10, and will run through the remainder of this month. Those looking for love can put down their dating apps and let the staff at the PSPCA help find them a true, lasting connection.

According to the release, the PSPCA’s adoption team will help match adopters with their most compatible canine partner by encouraging them to visit the adoptions desk, take a quick survey and then meet three dogs the staff recommends. If one of those pups is your one true love, adopters will receive $50 off the adoption fee. It is the ultimate love connection. Also, for those looking instead for a feline friend, the PSPCA will help mend broken hearts by giving them a second chance at love. Adopters that choose cats who have been returned to the shelter, or who have been in the shelter for 30 days and longer, will receive 50% off adoption fees.

“It is always the goal of our staff to help adopters make the best selections through conversations and suggestions of dogs and cats that will fit well into their lifestyles,” said Rachel Golub, manager of adoptions and behavior at the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Erie Avenue Headquarters in a release. “Through our Valentine’s Day promotions we hope to make even more matches and for adopters to fall in love with an animal who needs them as much as they need it!”

If this all sounds great but you’re still not ready to adopt, Philadelphians can also show the animals at the shelter some love by sending Valentiene’s to shelter animals as they search for love. Anyone interested can do so and learn more information at pspca.org
