Joining us for today’s edition of #3Q3M is Dr. Shahzad Ahmed, the director of cardiology and an interventional cardiologist at Lower Bucks Hospital. Dr. Ahmed is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound, and internal medicine, and has led Lower Bucks Hospital to establish multiple innovative programs. In this interview, Dr. Ahmed highlights the dire need to increase medical insurance coverage and decrease co-pays for brand name medicines, given that many patients are often unable to afford the medication or follow-up procedures they require. Dr. Ahmed also discusses some of his outstanding patient outcomes, which have inspired him to continue his work.
