Yesterday, we got wind of the limited edition Roker Burger, a collaboration between celebrated “Today” show weatherman Al Roker, and the international burger chain Shake Shack. Proceeds from speciality burger will go toward No Kid Hungry — an organization whose mission is to end childhood hunger in the United States.
The Roker Burger is 100 percent all-natural Angus beef topped with Niman Ranch barbecue pulled pork, red-eye mayo, pickles and double American cheese. For each burger purchased, $1 will go to support No Kid Hungry.
“Creating a burger with the folks at Shake Shack is exciting. Creating a burger that helps childhood hunger is inspiring,” Al Roker says on the “Today” website.
But how does it taste? I tried a Roker Burger with some of my colleagues in the office today and I dug it. It’s on the smaller side and has a sweetness to it with the barbecue pulled pork. I would totally get it again, but time is quickly running out — the Roker Burger is only available until Friday, Aug. 26.
Not every Shake Shack has them either — ballpark and airport locations are excluded.
Now all we need is whatever Al is drinking in the clip below.
