It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation held its annual Holiday Tree Lighting event on Friday, powered by PECO, at Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest.
This year’s holiday tree, coming from Stutzman Farms LLC in Hornell, New York, is a Concolor Fir that stands approximately 40 feet tall.
“PECO is honored to power the annual Tree Lighting event, a cherished tradition that brings our community together during the holiday season,” said Nicole LeVine, PECO Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We believe in supporting initiatives that enhance the vibrancy of our neighborhoods.”
The tree lighting celebration included more than 24 performances by local acts, including singer Tyler Kingsley, violist Olivia Flickinger; the Betsy Daily Dancers from the Main Line; the dynamic stylings of Dance4Life; figure skaters from Theatre On Ice; singer-songwriter Ashley Daily; singer Raquel Britton; and jazz saxophonist Ikechi Onyenaka.
