Bensalem police have charged a homeless man with the roadside dumping of a woman’s body after she suffered a fatal drug overdose.
Stephanie Machen, 25, from Norristown was found Tuesday morning along Mill Road after authorities said she died from an overdose in Philadelphia, Bensalem police reported.

Once she was dead, police said Erik Finnegan, who has no fixed address, drove her body to Mill Road and discarded it onto the shoulder of the roadway.
Police added that Finnegan confessed to his role in the incident and has subsequently been arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse.

Finnegan is being held in county prison on $10,000 bail, NBC added in a related report, also stating that the investigation into Machen’s death remains ongoing.
