A multi-car accident on I-95 in South Philadelphia has left one person dead and several injured, 6ABC reported.

The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes near the Broad Street entrance.
According to CBS3, one man was pronounced dead at the scene, and four others were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. None of their conditions or identities have been released to the public.

The highway was closed for some time but is now open. Police are investigating what caused the fatal accident.
