Independent mayoral candidate Diop Olugbala will protest in front of Fox 29 studios Thursday because he is not included in the channel’s televised mayoral debate, then march inside and deliver a letter stating the same.
“We also have Committee of Seventy on the case investigating the legal possibilities as far as holding Fox accountable for having me as part of the debate,” Olugbala said.
Olugbala recently suffered another setback when Judge James M. Lynn rejected his request to change his name on the ballot from his birth name, Wali Rahman, to that by which he is popularly known.
He has filed a motion for reconsideration and is awaiting the outcome.
