Inside Look: 3 homes with wow-worthy bathrooms

Did you know the average person spends nearly a year and a half of their lifetime in the bathroom? Sure, that’s nothing compared to the 25 years we spend sleeping or the four years we spend driving. But that doesn’t mean your throne shouldn’t be any less cozy than the rest of your home.

We rounded up three houses with pristine powder rooms, from bidets tospa-like features to luxurious materials and more.

242 S. Third St.

Ever wanted to say you live on Mansion Row, joining the ranks of George Washington, John Penn, William Swain and others? Here’s your chance. The John Penn House, named after William Penn’s grandson, has been the site of several important figures in history, starting with the nation’s first president in 1781. Listed on the National Historic Register and the Philadelphia Register of Historic Homes, this home is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity…for a cool $2.65 million.

But the bathroom: In 2002, the home underwent a $1 million full restoration, which included the master suite bathroom and spa. There, you’ll find a glass-enclosed free-standing shower stall, soaking tub, a bidet, Groehe fixtures and limestone countertops. The luxurious room, located on the third floor, is attached to the master bedroom and customized his and her walk-in closets.

Fourteen rooms, including seven bedrooms and four bathroomssprawl across four stories in this 6,650-square-foot mansion, which boasts original heart pine floors and restored historic details.

805 Mountain St.

Nestled in East Passyunk, this modern new construction features top-of-the-line appliances and luxury details for $525,000.

This 2,400-square-foot home features an open-plan kitchen with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, new cabinetry and pendant lighting. Head upstairs to the master suite, which takes up an entire floor and features two large closets and views of the skyline. The master bath includes a walk-in European shower with a rain feature and custom tiling, a double floating vanity and a makeup station.

1215 Limberlost Lane,
Gladwyne, PA

For the true luxurious experience, look no further than the Main Line. Just off Conshohocken State Road on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home brags of a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, as well as lush, light-filled rooms perfect for entertaining or unwinding.

But the master bath is the real stunner here. On the first floor, the spa-like room includes a stunning black-tiled shower that includes two shower rain heads, a free-standing whirlpool Jacuzzi soaking tub in the center of the room and luxurious white marbletop counters. The sleek spa opens up to his-and-hers master closets and a master suite with floor-to-ceiling windows, lush new carpeting and pastoral views.
