It seems like everyone is impressed with Jalen Hurts after OTA’s

It would be fair to say that the fate of the Philadelphia Eagles rests on the arm of Jalen Hurts. If Hurts develops into the quarterback many in the building are talking about, then the Eagles future is secure. If not, the Eagles do have the draft capital to find the guy. It’s early days, but Hurts has been as good as Eagle fans can hope for during OTA’s.

Third time lucky for Jalen Hurts

While acknowledging that being in the same system is important for his development, those around the quarterback touted his improvement in the offseason.

ESPN reporter Sal Paolantonio spoke last week on Hurts’ development saying “He (Hurts) went out to California, and worked with a number of quarterback coaches to work on his technique.”

Dallas Goedert has been very impressed

Hurts’ teammates have also seen improvements in the early stages of practice.

“Being able to correct everything from last year, implement how we want everything to go. Having the foundation going into this year, it’s easier to go through reads, eliminate stuff before it happens. I think his game is going to improve a lot.” Eagles tight end, Dallas Goedert said at DeVonta Smith’s celebrity softball game..

Goedert also spoke highly about Hurts as an overall leader with the team.

“From the moment he stepped in, he was a great leader, hard worker and none of that is going to change. He took command of the team as soon as he stepped in the building and that is going to continue.”

What comes next?

Jalen Hurts was excellent in the first media-reported day of practice. According to WIP Reporter, Eliot Shorr-Parks, Hurts went 10-11 for two touchdowns, no picks, and an excellent display of arm strength.

It seems everyone of note has touted the quarterback and his preparation going into his most important season as a pro. If this week has been any indication, it looks like the Eagles have their QB1 for a long time.
