Jalen Hurts launches foundation to strengthen local communities & support youth

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts officially launched the Jalen Hurts Foundation on Tuesday, a charity designed to strengthen local communities and support Philadelphia schools.

Hurts has done a lot for Philadelphia since arriving on the scene as a second-round draft pick, and has only continued to find new ways to give back to the local area as the years have passed. In 2023, Hurts provided Schools in the Philadelphia area with air conditioning and infrastructure upgrades, helping over 5,000 students and staff members in the process.

The Keep it Cool Campaign will build on that over the coming years, with aims of providing nearly 100 Philadelphia Schools sufficient air conditioning, creating a more comfortable environment for students in the sweltering city heat.

“You can’t expect these kids to go out there and have big dreams and big goals and not have proper resources,” said Hurts. “Through the Jalen Hurts Foundation, I want to provide service and mentorship and ultimately advance our communities and youth. This is just the first step.”

On top of that, the foundation will focus on support programs for families across the nation, helping to educate people on financial wellness as well as enhancing education.

Hurts has become an inspirational role to many since becoming the franchise quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, not only for his work on the field, but the way he carries himself away from it and continues to help elevate those around him. The launch of his foundation is the next step in a mission to simply make Philadelphia, and the world, a better place.
