Elkins Park native Josh Fattal, 29, and his friend Shane Bauer, arrested two years ago today, finally had their day in an Iranian court this morning. Reports out of Tehran say that the court will issue a verdict by the end of the week.
Both were arrested July 31, 2009, while hiking with a third friend, Sarah Shourd, along the Iraq-Iran border.
Their trial date has been postponed a few times this year, though both did have a short hearing in Febuary, but very little came out of the first appearance.
