The incident took place shortly after 9 a.m. at the Wells Fargo on Route 130, NJ.com stated in a related report. When the victim was sent inside the bank to withdraw money, he slipped a note to the teller.

That note said he was being held against his will, the AP reported. Police responded to the bank while the victim was still inside, and Jackson was taken into custody.

Police said it is not known if the two men knew each other, according to NJ.com.
