Kmart will close two Philadelphia stores in April.
The stores in The Gallery in Center City and on the 900 block of Orthodox Street in Juniata Park will begin liquidating inventory Feb. 9 and close for good in late April, 6ABC Action News reported.
A total of 289 employees will be impacted by the store closings.
A Kmart spokesperson told Action News the closings will “better enable us to focus our investments on serving our customers and members through integrated retail at the store, online and in the home.”
