The world of pollinators will be explored daily at Morris Arboretum & Gardens with their unique exhibition, ‘Bees, Butterflies, & Blooms: A Pollinator Paradise.’ Running now through Sept. 30, the activation features different events, with one focal point being the addition of ‘Garden Railway: World Pollinators.’ Through this specific activation, guests will see a display of pollinators from around the world made from natural materials such as bark, leaves, twigs, mosses and acorns, set amongst Morris’ charming, natural train set.
While there, guests can also experience ‘Exuberant Blooms’, featuring a variety of tropical plants, with heights ranging from a foot tall to over 10 feet. A full schedule of events this weekend at Morris can be found online.

Zandvoort Watch Party at F1 Arcade Philly
The recently opened F1 Arcade is celebrating its sport this weekend with a Zandvoort Watch Party. The race will kick off Sunday (Aug. 31) at 9 a.m., doors open one hour earlier. While there, spectators can try out some of the Formula 1 simulators, or indulge in some fare from the kitchen and bar.
Visitors can sip on libations like the Victory Lap (a tropical old-fashioned with bourbon, vanilla demerara, and a hint of absinthe) the Pit Lane Perk (a nitro-charged espresso martini topped with custom race-themed art), the Apex Martini (a “freezer-cold take” on a classic gin martini made with Bluecoat Gin and an herb-infused olive oil garnish), and more.
The sips are complemented by a variety of food options: Appetizers span bites like soft pretzel sticks with honey mustard whipped butter, dynamite fried chicken and grilled tiger shrimp skewers, plus tacos (think spicy ahi tuna and wild mushroom), flatbreads (like Italian sausage and chicken tandoori), burgers, sides and desserts. Tickets (various prices) can be purchased online.

Southwest Philly Night Market
This Saturday, (Aug. 30), the Southwest Philly Night Market will be in full swing at the Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School. From 5 to 11 p.m., this free event will feature local vendors, live entertainment, giveaways, family activities and more. As a release notes, Southwest Philadelphia has historically faced a unique set of challenges, including a high poverty rate, nearly one in five residents not obtaining a high school degree, and being designated as a food desert. This night market aims to connect the community to critical resources that address these issues. More information can be found via Eventbrite.

DC Heroes & Villains Fest at Six Flags
DC Heroes and Villains Fest is taking over Six Flags for one final weekend. The fest unfolds as a real-world, interactive story with figures like Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, The Joker, Harley Quinn and Catwoman making appearances through different performances. The experience overall is meant to immerse guests in Gotham through music shows, dance parties, and other surprises — so suiting up in a DC costume is welcomed.
The Fest also features stunt professionals, dancers, technicians and effects teams taking over the Metropolis area (right by Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth ride). But visitors can get a taste of the experience throughout the park with different themed food and beverage offerings as well.
There’s the Vigilante Funnel Cake (topped with Oreo cookies, yellow sprinkles and chocolate syrup), the Heroic Hawaiian Pizza, a Mystery Egg Roll (either buffalo chicken, cheesesteak or pepperoni pizza stuffed), the KaPow! Parfait (layered with red velvet cake and chocolate pudding), the Garden Lair Salad, and the Heroes & Villains Sundae. Drinks-wise, DC fans can sip on the alcoholic Speedster Splash (made with passionfruit vodka, Sprite, orange juice and pineapple juice) or the non-alcoholic Lightning Lemonade (served with raspberries and lemon slices) while here for the occasion.
