Ladies’ night in Atlantic City

With its hot-pink lights, retro stylings and rooftop pool, The Chelsea always has girls-night-out potential. But now, the Atlantic City hotel is turning its fifth-floor lounge into a serious pampering destination: Every Thursday, the new Ladies’ Living Room series brings in a designer or boutique to show off new styles over cocktails.

Upcoming presenters include Rack-n-Roll and Stella & Dot, who will be showing summer-approved clothing and accessories. Next week, Kimberly Lucasti from Eleganza boutique on Caesars Pier is bringing in private-label pieces she found while scouting out new styles in Bologna last week. In addition to plenty of light, flowy maxi and jersey dresses, look for twists on this year’s lace trend. “Leather trim seems to be something that’s really big for the summer in Italy,” she says. “We’re showing a lot of lace this summer, but they’ll take the lace and add a little leather trim. It’s really hot.”

Making a night of it

After the Ladies’ Living Room series, the Chelsea Prime Supper Club offers a special $35 prix fixe and half-price bottles of wine for shoppers. Special rates are available on rooms, as well — and sure, you can invite the boys.
