Police are investigating an attempted abduction after a man called 911 from the trunk of his car in Lawncrest last night.
The victim, 25, was exiting his car outside of his apartment on the 6800 block of Martins Mill Road around 11 p.m. when three men approached him from behind, put a gun to his head and bound his hands and feet with plastic zip ties.
They forced him into his trunk, where he was able to call authorities. The men were stopped after driving an unknown distance and apprehended following a short foot chase, police said.
The motive for the crime and identities of the men are unknown at this time.
