Lawyer tossed coffee, punched woman outside Center City Starbucks: Cops

A Philadelphia lawyer has been identified as the woman accused of throwing coffee and punches at another woman outside a Center CityStarbucksin April.

Yvonne Montgomery, 47, turned herself in to police on May 24, about a month after cops released video of the sidewalk assault.

Montgomery works at the Tucker Law Group in Center City, Philly.comreported.

According to police, Montgomery threw a coffee stirrer at a 54-year-old woman before the two went outside and got into another altercation. That’s when Montgomery allegedly tossed the steaming hot coffee in the woman’s face, then punched her in the face and body and pulled her hair. Police said a witness seperated the two women, and Montgomery fled. The victim suffered minor injuries.

It was not clear what sparked the dispute.

Montgomery was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct by engaging in fighting, according to police. She was released on her own recognizance last month.
