Lee, Phils roughed up vs. Jays

Blame it on the jerseys.

The Phillies wore green jerseys Thursday to honor St. Patrick’s Day. No one got hurt, surprisingly, but Cliff Lee got into some trouble in the fourth inning and the Phillies lost 7-6 to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Lee retired eight of the first 11 batters he faced, then gave up five runs — three earned — in a hard-luck fourth. Juan Rivera and Edwin Encarnacion touched him up for home runs.

“I got behind and had to catch more of the plate and they got hits,” Lee told reporters.

The Phils started the game just fine, with a Jimmy Rollins’ single and a two-run homer from Shane Victorino, as they sprinted out to a 2-0 lead.

Michael Martinez, Erik Kratz and Freddy Galvis also homered for the Phillies, but it wasn’t enough.

Roy Oswalt gets the start Friday in a 1:05 p.m. start against the Pirates. Relievers Danys Baez, J.C. Romero, Jose Contreras and Ryan Madson are also slated to throw.
