Meet Ashley Coleman (she/her), the executive director of Galaei, a Philadelphia nonprofit focused on supporting QTBIPOC LGBTQ+ people. In this interview, Ashley discusses the resources available for LGBTQ+ people at Galaei. Galaei has three main programs: S.P.L.A.T, P.O.P, and T.I.N.G.S. The S.P.L.A.T program, which stands for Student Power Leadership and Activism Together, works to support and empower leadership development in queer youth of color. The P.O.P program, which stands for Prioritizing Our People, focuses on establishing sexual education, community wellness, and HIV prevention. Finally, the T.I.N.G.S program, or Trans Intersex Non-Binary and Gender Nonconforming Services, provides opportunities, services, and care for all trans, intersex, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people of color in Philadelphia.
