Local bartenders share drink recipes to make this weekend

Ready to make your weekend truly spirited? While stuck safely at home, try out some of these delightful recipes featuring libations and tricks from some of the City of Brotherly Love’s top mixologists and establishments. Here are a few satisfying cocktail recipes to help everyone make everyone’s quarantine just a little more special.

Kinsey Bourbon Lemonade

Ingredients: 1.5 oz. of Kinsey Bourbon, 4 oz. of homemade lemonade, a
lemon wheel and mint.

Instructions: Add Kinsey and lemonade to a cocktail shaker full of ice, shake and strain into a collins glass, then  garnish with lemon wheel and spring of mint to complete the drink.

The Bluebird

Ingredients: 1.5 oz. of Bluebird Distilling Vodka, 1.25 oz. of simple syrup,
1 oz. of lime juice, 10 blueberries, 5 mint leaves and club soda.

Instructions: Muddle the vodka, simple syrup, lime juice, blueberries and mint leaves together. Shake, add the club soda, double strain in a collins glass, garnish with three blueberries on a stick and enjoy.

Sunny Belle

Ingredients: 2 oz. of Coopers’ Craft Bourbon, 6 oz. of yellow tomatoes or yellow tomato juice, 3 sprigs of cilantro, a squeeze of lime, a dash of soy sauce, salt, pepper to taste and a dash of your favorite hot sauce.

Instructions: Puree the cilantro and tomatoes and then combine all ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Vigorously shake, strain into ice-filled glass and top with a speared mozzarella and celery stalk garnish.

Thyme After Time

Ingredients: 1 oz. of Limoncello, Rose Prosecco, strawberries, lemon and thyme.

Instructions: Add two slices of strawberries and lemon twist in a champagne flute. Add the limoncello and top with the Rose Prosecco, then enjoy.

Blackberry Smash

Ingredients: Rye, Cointreau, simple syrup, 4 mint leaves, 4 blackberries.

Instructions: Muddle the mint leaves and blackberries, then add the Rye, Cointreau and simple syrup. Shake with ice, strain in a glass and garnish with a mint.

Ingredients: shaved ice, rose liqueur and a sparking grapefruit beverage. Optional: micro-flower for garnish.

Instructions: Add shaved ice in a glass, pour the rose liqueur and grapefruit beverage and garnish with micro-flowers. As the ice melts slowly, the beverage will change colors making this cocktail both colorful and delicious.

Ingredients: Gin, hot sesame oil, coconut milk and shisho. Optional: micro-flower for garnish.

Instructions: Mix the gin, coconut milk and shisho together and serve in a quaint teacup. Heat up the sesame oil to drop in and garnish with a micro-flower to complete.

Thief in the Night

Ingredients: 2 parts rum, 1 part triple sec, 1 part lemon juice, 1 part orange juice, Two Robbers Orange Mango.

Instructions: Add rum, Triple Sec, lemon juice and orange juice in a glass and shake. Serve over ice, and top off with 4-6 oz. of Two Robbers Orange Mango, then garnish with an orange slice.

Mules & Robbers

Ingredients: 1 part whiskey, 3 parts ginger beer, fresh lime, a dash of bitters and Two Robbers Orange Mango.

Instructions: Add whiskey, ginger beer, fresh lime and bitters in a glass and shake. Serve over ice and top off with 4-6 oz. of Two Robbers Orange Mango, then garnish with a lime.

Ride into the Sunset

Ingredients: 1 part tequila, 2 parts fresh orange juice, 1 part grenadine and Two Robbers Orange Mango.

Instructions: Add the tequila, orange juice and grenadine in a glass and shake. Serve over ice, and top off with 4-6 oz. of Two Robbers Orange Mango, then garnish with an orange slice.
