Brian Westbrook woke up with a slight headache last Saturday, according to Andy Reid. The coach said it wasn’t anything unusual and he fully expects the slashing running back to practice tomorrow.
“He’ll go through a normal practice if he can do it,” Reid said. “He’s not going to do contact which is not unusual for what we do as a team out there.”
Of course, the Eagles didn’t seem to miss No. 36 as they steamrolled the Giants, 40-17. Led by fullback Leonard Weaver and rookie LeSean McCoy, the team averaged 7.5 yards per carry. With that kind of production, Reid admitted he may be extra cautious with Westbrook this week.
“We’re not going to do anything to put him in jeopardy there,” Reid said.
