Love Beyonce? You’ll love this yoga class

You already listen to Beyoncé to get pumped before a big night out or a morning at the gym, so how about incorporating Queen Bey into your yoga practice? Thanks to Priya Hot Yoga, you can do just that with their “Beyoncé Yoga Experience,” an intense, heated 90-minute Vinyasa flow class set to the beat of Beyoncé on July 14 and July 21.

“I adore Beyoncé and everything she embodies —  fierceness, power, sexual expression and feminine badassery,” says class instructor Brittany Policastro on launching the series. “I’ve heard of these classes being done in the past and I am queen of the yoga dance party so it felt like the perfect combination.”

In addition to the yoga, Policastro says to expect lots of singing and dancing as well. She also encourages attendees to dress up and “do Beyonce proud.”

“Wear yoga or workout clothing you would normally wear but with a Bey flair. I will be wearing a purple yoga romper and my gold hoops,” she says. “We will also be selling special I Slay tank tops for both workshops.”

If you’re new to yoga, Policastro does not recommend starting here, however.

“This particular class isn’t recommended for beginners because of its intense and faster-paced flow. However, it’s up to the practitioner if they feel able to handle it,” advises Policastro.

So what Beyoncé tunes can we expect to hear in the playlist? You’ll have to come to class to find out but Policastro will be taking requests via the Priya Hot Yoga Facebook page.
