On Saturday, Oct. 28, celebrated film director, M. Night Shyamalan and his wife, Dr. Bhavna Shyamalan, hosted Shyamaween at Punchline Comedy Club in Fishtown.
The tagline for the event stated: Be Bad. Do Good.
Over 400 guests were in attendance, as well as quite a few celebrities, including Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis and James McAvoy. Grammy nominee Andra Day performed and DJ Ed Christof kept the music pumping until the wee hours.
Catering for the main event was provided by the Vetri Family and late night eats were supplied by Kate Jacoby and Rich Landau of Vedge, V Street and Whiz Kid.
The evening benefits the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, a charitable organization that invests in emerging leaders who are committed to ending poverty and inequality in their communities.
