Where to dine for Main Line Today Restaurant Week

Main Line Today Restaurant Week 2022 kicks off Feb. 21 through March 6, and throughout the 14-day event, diners will be able to check out the talents of top chefs, restaurants and purveyors in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties. 

How does it work? Participating restaurants will offer special three-course prix fixe menus for lunch ($26.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity) and dinner ($39.95, plus tax, beverage and gratuity). Restaurants can choose what works best for them, offering lunch, dinner, or both — dine-in or takeout.

Although every option offers a unique choice, there are a few establishments that stand out. 

Savona Restaurant

This hilltop destination offers a great dining opportunity, and the added historic backdrop is certainly a plus. Originally built in 1765, Savona was once headquarters for Revolutionary War figure Aaron Burr. The venue focuses on Italian cuisine, but also prides itself on utilizing local ingredients, chef-driven dishes, top scale service and a large wine list. 

Yohann Zinier, managing partner at Savona, notes: “We are so excited to participate in Main Line Restaurant Week again. It is a great opportunity for the chef to get feedback on potential new menu items and give our loyal guests some delicious surprises. It’s also a chance for new residents in the area to discover us… so of course we include some Savona favorites as well.”

Savona’s MLTRW menu includes burrata and arugula salad; snowball cauliflower soup; mushroom risotto; homemade pasta shells with shrimp, calamari and spicy pomodoro; a flourless chocolate brownie; lemon pound cake and much more.

Fearless Restaurant Group

Fearless operates a few establishments, including Main Line favorites Autograph Brasserie and Rosalie. The latter is located inside the historic Wayne Hotel and boasts authentic and simple Italian cuisine with the backdrop of rustic comfort and design. Autograph on the other hand, also in a historic venue (it’s said that the building’s French influence framed the inspiration of a concept Marty Grims of Fearless had for over 20 years) focuses more on a modern American menu inspired by classic dishes.  

“Fearless Restaurants is thrilled to participate in MLTRW and to showcase both Autograph Brasserie and Rosalie Wayne. We enjoyed the fall event so much that we went from just having Rosalie participate to also including Autograph Brasserie. Dining at any Fearless Restaurant location is an experience that engages the diner visually with our beautiful locations, welcomes them with our great service, and makes them want to return again because of our outstanding menus,” said Jaimi Blackburn, director of public relations for Fearless Restaurants.

He continues: “Both of our restaurants are participating with lunch offerings, my personal favorite dish at Rosalie, the gnocchi is on the MLTRW menu! Rosalie makes its pasta fresh daily in our pasta kitchen. Autograph Brasserie is offering our Moule Frittes – they are by far the very best you will have outside of France. All Fearless Restaurants offer a robust and lively happy hour – so if you cannot make it in for MLTRW at lunch – pop by for our happy hour.” 

Rosalie’s menu for Main Line Today Restaurant Week includes pork shoulder, gnocchi, Margherita pizza, veal, pistachio gelato, mint gelato and much more. Autograph Brasserie’s menu options for the food-filled week spans tuna tartare, tomato bisque, short rib ragout, Nicoise salad, brownie sundae, vanilla cheesecake and much more.

URBN

This restaurant group (which recently acquired The Vetri Family Restaurant Group) has set roots both in the city limits and on the Main Line. For the curated week, however, there will be three spots from URBN to try. 

“Connecting with our local community and offering something exciting for our guests is important to us. Dining out is a crucial part of the restaurant community and we really want to re-engage people after eating at home for so long,” says Larissa Crossley, senior marketing manager for Menus & Venues, a division of URBN. “Spring edition was successful at all of our restaurants, with a lot of guests opting in, so we wanted to offer that same experience again this winter season. It also offers a fun activity during traditionally slower times of the day/week.”

Amis Trattoria, Terrain Café – Devon, and Pizzeria Vetri King of Prussia will all be offering curated menus in a way that allows diners to get a true taste of what they have to offer. Amis, located in the Devon Yard (along with the Café) offers their own spin on signature small-plates, while Terrain focuses on fresh and simple cuisine with a stunning venue to explore. The latest opening for URBN (earlier this month on Feb. 10), brings a Philly favorite chock full of pizza and more to the Main Line–Pizzeria Vetri King of Prussia is officially open for business 

Crossley offered some of her favorite choices for Main Line Today Restaurant Week from each spot.

“Terrain: The mushroom soup, grilled apple salad and BBQ pork shoulder. Amis: Twice fried artichokes, rigatoni bolognese and the smoked turkey and burrata sandwich. Amis is [also] featuring two special cocktails for restaurant week, [the] Violets Are Blue and Basil Gin Fizz. [For] Pizzeria Vetri: Meatballs, sesame heirloom salad and spinach pizza.”
