Man, 18, killed in West Philly shooting

A teenager was killed in West Philadelphia and three other people were wounded in shootings across the city Wednesday night and early Thursday.

Police said 18-year-old Sean Guyton, who lived in the Carroll Park area, was transported in a private vehicle to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after being shot in the right shoulder at around 9 p.m. on the 5400 block of Pennsgrove Street.

Guyton died a short time later at the hospital, and investigators found blood and shell casings in a parking lot at the scene. No arrests have been made.

On Thursday, at around 10:45 a.m., a 33-year-old man was shot once in the arm inside a store on the 1600 block of Margaret Street in Frankford, authorities said.

He walked to the nearby Jefferson Frankford Hospital and is being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.

Officers arrested two people and confiscated a gun in the aftermath of the shooting, according to police.

In Kensington, someone shot a 42-year-old man once in the thigh just after 5:30 a.m. Thursday on the 1800 block of E. Monmouth Street, authorities said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

A 56-year-old man was grazed by a bullet Wednesday just before midnight on the 1500 block of W. Erie Avenue in the Tioga section of North Philadelphia, according to police. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
