A 68-year-old man was fatally beaten Monday morning inside a home in Mayfair, authorities said.
Officers were called at around 9:14 a.m. to the 4200 block of Passmore Street for a report of a person screaming, according to investigators. Police said the victim was found severely beaten and unresponsive on the living room floor.
Medics declared him dead at the scene. Authorities have not publicly identified the victim.
Police immediately arrested a suspect, but no further information has been released.
